Once your sweet Maui Gold® pineapple is just a delicious memory, you can grow your own pineapple plant and enjoy this delectable fruit again in about 18 months.
PLANTING DIRECTIONS:
Choose a pineapple with green, fresh leaves.
Remove top of pineapple by twisting it off.
Peel back leaves around base so bottom layers are exposed.
Let the crown dry out for 1-2 weeks.
Plant the crown 2-3 inches deep in well-draining soil.
Provide plenty of sunshine.
Water occasionally. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. (pineapples are drought resistant)
In about 18-24 months you should have your very own Maui Gold Pineapple!
